Music, lyrics and book by Debbie Andrews and Mike Blaxill of Gladshot

Director and Choreographer: Kay Cole

Creative Consultant: James Rado

BARCODE takes place in a not so distant future where the Data Jammer resistance fights a hack-tacular media war against Earth Corp, the one corporation that rules the globe. Earth Corp wields control over the populous by imprinting barcodes on the wrists of every citizen to monitor all activity. An unlikely romance develops between the young Jammer Dorna, and Nest, the son of an Earth Corp News anchor. Together they could spark a revolution.

BARCODE began in embyonic form as a 4-scene reading at Dixon Place, workshopped at an NYC rock club with cast members from “American Idiot” and premiered at the New York International Fringe Festival with
“Hair” author James Rado as creative consultant. Recently Los Angeles-based director and choreographer Kay Cole joined the creative team.

"develops a crazy universe in true balls-to-the-wall fashion with an extremely appealing score as its centerpiece" - Theater Mania

"a new rag-tag, upstart, rock-and-roll musical that would be truly terrifying if it wasn't so much fun" - The Huffington Post
